I would like to personally invite you and other members of your organization to attend a meeting between the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Exelon Generation Company in which the NRC staff will discuss with Exelon our annual assessment of the safety performance of the Limerick Generating Station.
The meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2005, at the Limerick Township Municipal Building, 646 W. Ridge Pike in Limerick, Pennsylvania. At the meeting we will briefly discuss our Reactor Oversight Process and then discuss with Exelon our assessment of their safety performance at Limerick and their response to our assessment. The meeting is open to the public for observation. Following the presentation, the NRC staff will be available to answer questions from you and members of the public regarding the safety performance of Limerick and the role of the NRC in ensuring safe plant operations.
