Pursuant to I OCFR50.71(e), Entergy Operations, Inc. (EOI) herein submits one CD containing a complete Adobe (.pdf) copy of the River Bend Station (RBS) Updated Safety Analysis Report (USAR) with the Revision 18 changes incorporated. The Revision 18 submittal depicts the effects of changes made in the facility as described in the USAR during the period November 11, 2003, through February 22, 2005. A list of effective pages is included on the CD identifying the current USAR pages after incorporation of Revision 18 changes.

Pursuant to I OCFR50.71 (e)(5), each page containing a Revision 18 change includes the verbiage "Revision 18" at the bottom of each revised page. In addition, each text and table page containing a Revision 18 change includes change bars.

A 50.59 Summary Report, pursuant to 10CFR50.59(b)(2), is included as Attachment 1 to this letter. The 50.59 Summary Report contains a copy of the safety evaluations performed for each change. The Summary Report is provided to meet the requirements of 10CFR50.71(e)(2)(ii) for identification of changes made under the provisions of IOCFR50.59 but not previously submitted to the Commission.

An FSAR Only Summary Report, pursuant to the reporting guidelines of Section A6 of Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) 98-03, "Guidelines for Updating Final Safety Analysis Reports," is included as Attachment 2 to this letter.

RBG-46406 Page 2 of 3 Per the reporting guidelines of Section 5.1 of NEI 99-04, "Guidelines for Managing NRC Commitment Changes," Attachment 3 contains copies of recent changes to NRC commitments made in accordance with NEI 99-04. contains a listing of revised USAR pages. The Revised Pages List separates text pages, table pages, and figure pages containing Revision 18 changes.

Attachments 1, 2, 3, and 4 are included on a separate CD as searchable Adobe (.pdf) files.

This second CD contains a single file which includes a scanned copy of this transmittal letter as well as the four attachments.

As required by 10CFR50.7 1(e)(2)(i), the below affirmation certifies that the information in this submittal accurately reflects changes made since the previous submittal necessary to represent information and analyses submitted or prepared pursuant to NRC requirements.
