james.morris duke-energy.com Duke Energy Corporation Oconee Nuclear Station, Units 1,2, & 3 Docket Nos. 50-269, 50-270, 50-287 McGuire Nuclear Station, Units 1&2 Docket Nos. 50-369 and 50-370 Catawba Nuclear Station, Units 1 & 2 Docket Nos. 50-413, 50-414 Change in Training Frequency for Personnel Who Have Overall Responsibility for Preparing Radioactive Hazardous Materials for Shipment On March 31, 1993 a letter was submitted by Catawba, McGuire and Oconee Nuclear Stations adopting a training frequency of once every 2 years for personnel who have overall responsibility for preparing radioactive hazardous materials for shipment, as required by the Department of Transportation Final Rule, published in the Federal Register on May 15, 1992.

The purpose of this letter is to inform the staff that Duke Energy Corporation intends to change the training frequency for personnel who have the overall responsibility for preparing radioactive hazardous materials for shipment from once every two years to once every three years. This change meets the current requirements of 49 CFR part 172: subpart H for recurrent training.
