VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND PO'WEZR COMPANY RIChMOND, VIRGINIA 23261 February 14, 2005 U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Serial No.05-055 Attention: Document Control Desk SPS Lic/JSA RO Washington, D.C. 20555-0001 Docket Nos. 50-280 50-281 License Nos. DPR-32 DPR-37 Gentlemen:

VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY SURRY POWER STATION UNITS 1 AND 2 MONTHLY OPERATING REPORT The Monthly Operating Report for Surry Power Station Units 1 and 2 for the month of January 2005 is provided in the attachment.

In October 2004, an issue was discovered with Surry Units 1 & 2 station service integrators that resulted in each unit's Net Generation being overstated by approximately 11 megawatts/hour since 1993. The metering issue has been corrected and the cumulative Net Generation data and Maximum Dependable Capacity for both units have been revised to reflect the correct data in this report.

If you hqyp any questions or require additional information, please contact us.
