Nine Mile Point Unit 1 Docket No. 50-220 License No. DPR-63 Special Report, Channel #12 of the Containment Hydrogen Monitoring System Removed from Service for Planned Maintenance.
Gentlemen:
In accordance with Action 4.a of Nine Mile Point Unit 1 Technical Specification Table 3.6.11-2, "Accident Monitoring Instrumentation Action Statements," Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station, LLC, is submitting the following Special Report concerning the inoperability of Channel #12 of the Containment Hydrogen Monitoring (CHM) system.
Descrintion of Event On November 10, 2004 at approximately 0146 hours0.00169 days <br />0.0406 hours <br />2.414021e-4 weeks <br />5.5553e-5 months <br />, Channel #12 of the CHM system was declared inoperable to perform planned maintenance, including replacement of the motors for the sample pump and bypass pump and replacement of two relays in the analysis cabinet.
The redundant Channel #11 of the CHM system was verified to be operable prior to removal of Channel #12 from service.
Cause of Event Channel #12 of the CHM system was removed from service to support planned maintenance activities.
