FORTHCOMING MEETING WITH ARIZONA PUBLIC SERVICE COMPANY REGARDING DRY CASK STORAGE AND FUEL ISSUES FOR PALO VERDE UNITS 1, 2, AND 3 DATE & TIME: Thursday, December 9, 2004 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

LOCATION: U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission One White Flint North 11555 Rockville Pike, Room O-14 B-8 Rockville, Maryland 20852 PURPOSE: The purpose of this meeting is to discuss issues related to dry cask storage of spent fuel and fuel issues such as fuel performance, lead test assembly programs and future control element assembly modifications (see attached agenda).

CATEGORY:* This is a Category 1 Meeting. The public is invited to observe this meeting and will have one or more opportunities to communicate with the NRC after the business portion but before the meeting is adjourned.

PARTICIPANTS: Participants from the NRC include members of the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation and representatives from Arizona Public Service Company.
