2 Due to oscillations on 13 Feedwater Flow Control valve a manual scram was inserted to shut the unit down. Repairs to 13 Feedwater Flow Control Valve are in process.

SUMMARY

The unit operated during the month of August 2004 with a Net Electrical Design capacity factor of 90.5 percent. On August 21, 2004 at 0000 hours0 days <br />0 hours <br />0 weeks <br />0 months <br /> power was reduced to less than 90 percent to remove 14 Reactor Recirculation Pump from service for Motor Generator (MG) Set brush replacement. At 0345 hours0.00399 days <br />0.0958 hours <br />5.704365e-4 weeks <br />1.312725e-4 months <br /> 14 Reactor Recirculation Pump was started and power was restored to rated. On August 30, 2004 at 0825 hours0.00955 days <br />0.229 hours <br />0.00136 weeks <br />3.139125e-4 months <br /> oscillations on 13 Feedwater Flow Control Valve were noted. At 0835 hours0.00966 days <br />0.232 hours <br />0.00138 weeks <br />3.177175e-4 months <br /> a manual scram was inserted. The unit remains in a forced outage at the closure of the month.
