RE: Chemical Application Specifications Mike - Sorry for the confusion - this species has not been seen or reported either on site or within our t-ine ROWs, from any of us on the Dominion team (house or contract). However, the species (evidently per VDGIF) is known to be present in the vicinity (tidewater region) of the Surry Power Station and/or t-lines, and the habitat within the tidewater region, as I understand it, would certainly be conducive to the presence of the species, but not within areas very much further west of the region.

I think the wording on page 80 below is a variation on a theme.

Thanks, Tony "Sackschewsky, Michael R" To: Tony-Banks~dom.com

RE: Chemical Application Specifications The Surry SEIS does include the barking tree frog in the table 2-3 on page 2-24, however, it goes on to state (page 2-25):

Besides the bald eagle, none of the other animal or plant species in Table 2-3 are currently known to occur on the Surry Power Station site or along the related transmission corridors (VEPCo 2001 c)."

However, the Dominion/Bechtel Study of Potential Sites states in Part 3, Page 80:

"With the exception of the barking tree frog and the bald eagle, terrestrial species that are federal and/or state-listed as endangered or threatened are not known to exist at the Surry site or along the corridors of its associated transmission lines.'

Hence my question: Is or is not the barking tree frog found on the Surry

,Andrew Kugler - RE: Chemical App!ication Specifications Page 2 site or in it's transmission line ROW's?

Information from the VDGIF lacks any reports from the Site, but indicates that the species is certainly in the general vicinity of the transmission lines if not the site itself.

I never meant to make a big deal about this, it is not that important, but if someone has any other information about the presence on site, I would like to see it.

Chemical Application Specifications Mike - attached are the 2 docs I believe you are referring to, as well as another 7-page guideline our Forestry Dept has used. The compilation of the Forestry Dept's ROW maintenance practices I have been told is on the FERC website.

Also - for the barking tree frog - it is listed in Surry's FEIS NUREG-1437 Supplement 6 on pages 2-24 and 2-25.
