SUMMARY

Nine Mile Point Unit Two operated with a maximum dependable capacity (MDC) factor of 101.42% and an availability factor of 100% for the month of July, 2004. On July 27, 2004 at 2358 hours0.0273 days <br />0.655 hours <br />0.0039 weeks <br />8.97219e-4 months <br /> a control rod drift alarm for control rod 26-27 was received. Control Rod 26-27 scrammed and power was reduced to approximately 93.5% per procedure. At 0555 on July 28, 2004, after completion of repairs, operations commenced lowering power to approximately 85% for rod recovery. Full power was restored at 0910 hours0.0105 days <br />0.253 hours <br />0.0015 weeks <br />3.46255e-4 months <br /> on July 28, 2004. There were no challenges to the safety relief valves during this reporting period.
