Revision to Commitments Related to Generic Letter 2003-01, "Control Room Habitability" (TAC No. MB9796)
Ladies and Gentlemen:
By letter dated August 11, 2003 (Serial Number 2974), the FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC) submitted a 60-day response to NRC Generic Letter 2003-01 for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station (DBNPS). In its response, FENOC committed to take several actions. FENOC is revising the due dates for completion of some of these commitments. The revised due dates reflect performance of integrated tracer gas testing in 2005 rather than 2004. This change in schedule is based, in part, upon the desire to develop an alternate source term analysis prior to testing. The affected commitments and revised due dates are identified in the enclosure to this letter.
