July 21, 2004 Mr. G. R. Peterson, Vice President McGuire Nuclear Station Duke Energy Corporation 12700 Hagers Ferry Road Huntersville, NC 28078

SUBJECT:

MCGUIRE NUCLEAR STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 RE: CORRECTIONS TO ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENTS (TAC NOS. MC0005 AND MC0006)

Dear Mr. Peterson:

By letter dated June 21, 2004, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff issued Amendment Nos. 222 and 204 to the Renewed Facility Operating Licenses for McGuire Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2, respectively. Unfortunately, Technical Specification (TS) page 4.0-1 was inadvertently left out of the amendment, however it was addressed by the safety evaluation contained in the approved amendment and was part of the licensee submittal dated June 25, 2003. Enclosed is TS page 4.0-1 with the applicable amendment numbers and a corrected amendment attachment page. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused.

Sincerely,

/RA/

James J. Shea, Project Manager, Section 1 Project Directorate II Division of Licensing Project Management Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation Docket Nos. 50-369 and 50-370
