NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION (NRC) STAFF TO DESCRIBE ITS LICENSE RENEWAL PROCESS DATE & TIME:

Thursday, July 8, 2004 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

LOCATION:

Joint News Center 10 Airport Road Fulton, NY 13069 PURPOSE:

The NRC received an application from Constellation Energy Group, dated May 26, 2004, for the renewal of the operating license for Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2. The purpose of the meeting is for the NRC staff to provide information describing the license renewal process and how the public can participate. The agenda for the meeting is attached. Information on the license renewal process is available at www.nrc.gov/reactors/operating/licensing/renewal/applications.html the NRCs website.

CATEGORY 3:*

This is a Category 3 Meeting. The public is invited to participate in this meeting by providing comments and asking questions throughout the meeting.
