SUBJECT:

KEWAUNEE NUCLEAR POWER PLANT - WITHDRAWAL OF AN AMENDMENT REQUEST REGARDING THE EQUIPMENT HATCH AND CONTROL ROOM POST ACCIDENT RECIRCULATION SYSTEM (TAC NO. MC1790)

Dear Mr. Coutu:

By letter dated January 16, 2004, you applied for an amendment to Facility Operating License No. DPR-43 for the Kewaunee Nuclear Power Plant. The proposed changes would have modified the facility technical specifications pertaining to the containment equipment hatch and control room post accident recirculation system. Subsequently, by letter dated June 8, 2004, you withdrew the amendment request.

The Commission has filed the enclosed Notice of Withdrawal of Application for Amendment to Facility Operating License with the Office of the Federal Register for publication.

Sincerely,

/RA/
