May 27, 2004 Mr. Randall K. Edington Vice President-Nuclear and CNO Nebraska Public Power District P. O. Box 98 Brownville, NE 68321
SUBJECT:
CORRECTION OF LICENSE AND TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR COOPER NUCLEAR STATION (CNS)
Dear Mr. Edington:
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide you with the results of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff review of the license and technical specifications (TSs) for CNS. The NRC is conducting a comparison of its license authority files to licensees records to ensure errors in licenses and TSs are identified and corrected for all units. I have completed the comparison of the NRCs license authority file and your records, up to and including Amendment 200 issued July 15, 2004, to determine whether corrections were necessary. The enclosure provides the information necessary to update your records for CNS so that the license and TSs accurately capture the NRC-approved amendments or corrections to these documents. I have discussed the corrections that are necessary with Norena Robinson of your staff.
Included in the enclosure are copies of the (1) insert/remove instruction page(s) for the associated amendment(s) and/or correction letter(s), (2) correct license and/or TS page(s), and coverpage(s) of the letter(s) transmitting the license amendment(s) or correction letter(s).
Please follow the instructions of the insert/remove pages when incorporating these corrections.
Please have a member of your staff inform me when the corrections have been incorporated into your records or if there are questions or comments on the requested action. I can be contacted at 301-415-1774.
Sincerely,
/RA/
