Dear Mr. Crane:

We have received the enclosed Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Region V final exercise report (ADAMS Accession No. ML040980593), dated November 19, 2003, for the August 20, 2003 plume exposure pathway exercise at the Clinton Power Station.

One area requiring corrective action was identified by FEMA Region V staff regarding the performance of county officials in Illinois.

We fully recognize that any corrective actions to be implemented may involve parties and political institutions which are not under your direct control. Nonetheless, we expect that assistance, if appropriate, will be extended.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publically Available Records (PARS) component of NRCs document system (ADAMS). ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www/nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room).
