SUMMARY
OF THE APRIL 29, 2004, MEETING BETWEEN THE NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION STAFF AND SACRAMENTO MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT REGARDING THE RANCHO SECO NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION LICENSE TERMINATION PLAN On April 29, 2004, a public meeting was held at the NRC offices between staff from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), and Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) to discuss SMUDs License Termination Plan (LTP) for the Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station.
SMUD discussed their current decommissioning status and their license termination approach.
The NRC staff provided feedback on lessons learned from previous LTP submittals. The licensee and staff agreed to conduct future meetings to discuss specific aspects of the LTP.
The meeting attendance list and a copy of the slides used by the licensee for their presentation are attached. This meeting was noticed on April 13, 2004. No proprietary information was disseminated or presented at this meeting. No regulatory decisions were requested or made.
