Dear Mr. Congel:
On this date, pursuant to the referenced letter, Carolina Power & Light Company, now doing business as Progress Energy Carolinas, Inc. (PEC), submitted a check attached to a copy of this letter in payment of the subject civil penalty. As indicated in the referenced letter, no fiurther PEC response to the Notice of Violation is required by the NRC.
