The staff is currently reviewing the McGuire and Catawba FSARs for possible sensitive (plant protection-related) information in light of the events of 9/11 and recent guidance from the Commission and the Office of Homeland Security. Because of the level of plant-specific information provided in the FSARs and because the McGuire/Catawba FSARs will be the first ones re-released, we are asking for some independent reviews by the safeguards branch in NRR. We expect to have releasable versions of the FSARs ready by COB Friday, 2/15.
