SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION POTENTIALLY RELEVANT AND MATERIAL TO BOARD PROCEEDING IN THE MATTER OF CATAWBA NUCLEAR POWER STATION, UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 In conformance with the Commissions policy on notification of the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board (ASLB) of new, relevant, and material information, this memorandum provides the information discussed below.

The attached Safety Evaluation was issued on April 5, 2004, by the staff of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to present the results of the NRC staffs radiological safety evaluation of the use of mixed oxide lead test assemblies at one of the two units of the Catawba Nuclear Power Station.

This information is being brought to the attention of the ASLB and all parties, as it may be relevant and material to issues pending before the ASLB.
