SUMMARY

OF MARCH 16, 2004, MEETING WITH ENERGY NORTHWEST ON THE RISK-INFORMED DIESEL GENERATOR ALLOWED COMPLETION TIME EXTENSION (TAC NO. MA7491)

On March 16, 2004, representatives of Energy Northwest met with the NRC staff to discuss the risk-informed diesel generator allowed completion time extension.

Energy Northwest began the meeting by providing background information on Columbia Generating Station's onsite and offsite power distribution. Energy Northwest discussed grid stability and availability based on historical data. The meeting continued with the proposed technical specification changes. Finally, Energy Northwest discussed the probability risk assessment information that will support the amendment request.

Energy Northwest was appreciative of the staff's feedback on the submittal. The meeting concluded with the staff expressing their appreciation for the presentation.
