DRAFT OF AMENDMENTS TO INCORPORATE AN ALTERNATE SOURCE TERM FOR OCONEE NUCLEAR STATION, UNITS 1, 2, AND 3 (TAC NOS.
MB3537, MB3538, AND MB3539)
Dear Mr. Jones:
By letters dated October 16, 2001, as supplemented by letters dated May 20, September 12, and November 21, 2002, September 22 and November 20, 2003; and February 18, 2004, you submitted an application for amendments for Oconee Nuclear Station, Units 1, 2, and 3. The amendments would revise the technical specifications (TS) to incorporate the use of an alternate source term.
Because of the large number of supplements, and the duration and complexity of the review, we have decided to send you a draft of the amendments. Enclosed is our draft Amendments that includes our Safety Evaluation and the revised TS pages. It has not been reviewed by our legal staff or our licensing assistant. Please review it for factual errors and provide your suggested corrections within two weeks of the date of this letter.
