Dear Mr. Jones:
This letter confirms the telephone conversation between Mr. B. Davenport of your staff and myself on February 23, 2004, concerning an Annual Assessment Meeting (Category One public meeting) which has been scheduled for April 13, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. (EST). The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the NRC Reactor Oversight Process Annual Assessment of the Oconee Nuclear Station. During the meeting, we recognize that you may have information which you want to present to us or any members of the public in attendance. Accordingly, if you so desire, after our presentation you will be afforded an opportunity to respond to any information contained in the Annual Assessment Letter and to discuss any new or existing programs that are designed to maintain or improve your current performance. The meeting will be held in the Auditorium of the Complex Building at the Oconee Nuclear Station, 155 East Pickens Highway (Hwy 183), Seneca, SC 29672. The meeting will be an open meeting in accordance with "NRCs Policy Statement for Enhancing Public Participation in NRC Meetings," May 28, 2002 (Federal Register Volume 67, Number 102, 36920-36924).
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRCs "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRCs document system (ADAMS). ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room).
