PERRY NUCLEAR POWER PLANT REPLY TO NOTICE OF VIOLATION DATED JANUARY 28, 2004
Dear Mr. Kanda:
This acknowledges receipt of your letter dated February 27, 2004, in response to our letter dated January 28, 2004, transmitting a Notice of Violation involving the failure of an emergency service water pump.
We have reviewed the corrective actions as described in your letter, and we have no further questions at this time. Your corrective actions will be examined during a future inspection using Inspection Procedure 95002 in accordance with the Action Matrix (Exhibit 5) of NRC Manual Chapter 0305. In our Annual Assessment Letter for the Perry Nuclear Power Plant dated March 4, 2004, we informed you of our plans to conduct the Inspection Procedure 95002 Supplemental Inspection in May 2004.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's document system (ADAMS). ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room).
