PUBLIC MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT
- REGULATORY CONFERENCE BRUNSWICK STEAM ELECTRIC PLANT - DOCKET NO. 50-324
Dear Mr. Gannon:
This letter confirms the telephone conversation between Mr. Leonard Beller of your staff and me on February 27, 2004, concerning a regulatory conference (Category One public meeting),
which has been scheduled for March 17, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. EST. In accordance with the choice afforded you in our letter dated January 27, 2004, you requested this conference. The purpose of the conference is to discuss your evaluation regarding the safety significance of a preliminary White finding related to a Brunswick Unit 2 design review that did not recognize that the reactor feed pump speed control systems power supplies would fail to provide power during supply voltage transients. The location of the meeting will be at the Region II Office located at 61 Forsyth Street SW, Suite 24T20, Atlanta, Georgia 30303-8931. This meeting will be an open meeting in accordance with NRCs Policy Statement for Enhancing Public Participation in NRC Meetings, May 28, 2002 (Federal Register Volume 67, Number 102, 36920-36924).
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRCs "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRCs document system (ADAMS). ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room).
