SX System 3.7.8 3.7 PLANT SYSTEMS 3.7.8 Essential Service Water (SX) System LCO 3.7.8 The following SX trains shall be OPERABLE:

a. Two unit-specific SX trains; and

b. One opposite-unit SX train for unit-specific support.

APPLICABILITY: MODES 1, 2, 3, and 4.

SX System 3.7.8 SURVEILLANCE REQUIREMENTS SURVEILLANCE FREQUENCY SR 3.7.8.1 -------------------NOTE--------------------

Isolation of SX flow to individual components does not render the SX System inoperable.

Verify each unit-specific SX manual, power 31 days operated, and automatic valve in the flow path servicing safety related equipment, that is not locked, sealed, or otherwise secured in position, is in the correct position.

SR 3.7.8.2 ------------------- NOTE--------------------

Not required when opposite unit is in MODE 1, 2, 3, or 4.

Operate the opposite-unit SX pump for 31 days

Ž 15 minutes.

SR 3.7.8.3 Cycle each opposite-unit SX crosstie valve 92 days that is not secured in the open position with power removed.

SR 3.7.8.4 Verify each unit-specific SX automatic 18 months valve in the flow path that is not locked, sealed, or otherwise secured in position, actuates to the correct position on an actual or simulated actuation signal.

SR 3.7.8.5 Verify each unit-specific SX pump starts 18 months automatically on an actual or simulated actuation signal.
