PUBLIC MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT

- CATEGORY ONE MANAGEMENT MEETING - CATAWBA NUCLEAR STATION - DOCKET NOS. 50-413, 50-414

Dear Mr. Jamil:

This letter confirms the telephone conversation between George Strickland of your staff and Robert Carroll of this office on December 17, 2003, concerning a management meeting which has been scheduled for February 24, 2004, from 10:00 a.m. to noon. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss: (1) general plant performance; (2) status of initiatives; and (3) other items of interest. The location of the meeting will be at the Region II Office, Sam Nunn Atlanta Federal Center, 61 Forsyth Street, SW, Atlanta, GA, in Suite 24T20 on the 24th floor. This meeting will be an open meeting in accordance with NRCs Policy Statement for Enhancing Public Participation in NRC Meetings, May 28, 2002 (Federal Register Volume 67 Number 102, Pages 36920-36924).

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRCs "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRCs document system (ADAMS).
