ATTACHMENT C NARRATIVE OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE DOCKET NO: 50410 UNIT NAME: NMP#2 DATE: 11/2/03 PREPARED BY: T. McMahon TELEPHONE: (315) 3494045 Nine Mile Point Unit Two operated with a capacity factor (MDC) of 102.52% and an availability factor of 100% for the month of November, 2003.

On November 22, 2003 at 0802 hours0.00928 days <br />0.223 hours <br />0.00133 weeks <br />3.05161e-4 months <br /> Operations commenced lowering power to approximately 55% for a planned feed water pump swap. After completion of the feed water pump swap, full power was restored at 0603hours on November 23, 2003.

There were no challenges to the safety relief valves during this reporting period.

On November 13, 2003 at 2149 hours0.0249 days <br />0.597 hours <br />0.00355 weeks <br />8.176945e-4 months <br />, Line 4 (115kv) was momentarily lost causing Reactor Recirculation Pump #13 to trip; thus reducing power to approximately 80 percent. This placed the unit in 3-loop operation. Reactor Recirculation Pump #13 was returned to service on November 14, 2003 at 1336 hours0.0155 days <br />0.371 hours <br />0.00221 weeks <br />5.08348e-4 months <br /> and power was returned to rated.

On November 15, 2003 at 0005 hours5.787037e-5 days <br />0.00139 hours <br />8.267196e-6 weeks <br />1.9025e-6 months <br />, power was reduced to 65 percent to scram time a select number of control rods. Power was maintained at approximately 65 percent while maintenance/scram timing was performed on the Hydraulic Control Units. Maintenance/scram timing was completed on November 22, 2003 and power was returned to rated at 1637 on the same day.

On November 23, 2003 at 0959 hours0.0111 days <br />0.266 hours <br />0.00159 weeks <br />3.648995e-4 months <br />, power was reduced to 80 percent to set the target rod pattern. The unit was returned to 100 percent power at 1500 hours0.0174 days <br />0.417 hours <br />0.00248 weeks <br />5.7075e-4 months <br /> later that day.
