Oconee Nuclear Station Docket Nos. 50-269, -270, and -287 Withdrawal of License Amendment Request for Revisions to the Licensing Basis for the UFSAR Section on Water Level (Flood) Design Technical Specification Change (TSC) Number 2002-06 On November 1, 2002, Duke Energy Corporation (Duke) submitted a License Amendment Request (LAR) regarding revisions to the licensing basis associated with the failure of non-Category I (non-seismic) piping in the Auxiliary Building.
In several discussions between Duke and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), it became apparent that there was continuing disagreement with Duke's approach to determining the fragility value used in the seismic analysis.
For this reason, Duke requests that TSC 2002-06 be withdrawn.
