Dear Mr. Ridenoure:

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Region IV, has reorganized its Division of Reactor Safety (DRS) effective December 28, 2003.

The Divisions inspection duties were formerly divided among three branches:

Operations Branch Plant Support Branch Engineering & Maintenance Branch

1. Identification and # Radiological Performance Capability Resolution of Controls # Permanent Plant Problems (PI&R) # Emergency Modifications Preparedness # Inservice Inspection Activities

1. Heat Sink Performance

1. Maintenance Effectiveness Beginning in January, 2004, there will be four DRS inspection branches with inspection responsibilities as follows:

1. Operator Requalification Program # Fire Protection

1. Emergency Preparedness # Heat Sink Performance

1. PI&R Support The reorganization of DRS and the reallocation of inspection duties required changes to the 2004 calendar year inspection schedule. The new DRS inspection schedule for your plant is attached.
