On October 1, 2003 at 0200 hours0.00231 days <br />0.0556 hours <br />3.306878e-4 weeks <br />7.61e-5 months <br />, power was reduced to remove Reactor Recirculation Pump 12 from service for planned maintenance. This placed the unit in 3-loop operation, thus reactor power was restricted to 90 percent. Reactor Recirculation Pump 12 was returned to service on October 4, 2003 at 2037 hours0.0236 days <br />0.566 hours <br />0.00337 weeks <br />7.750785e-4 months <br /> and the unit was returned to full power at 2316 hours0.0268 days <br />0.643 hours <br />0.00383 weeks <br />8.81238e-4 months <br /> the same day.

On October 25, 2003 at 0805 hours0.00932 days <br />0.224 hours <br />0.00133 weeks <br />3.063025e-4 months <br />, power was reduced to approximately 65 percent to perform a control rod sequence exchange and control rod scram time testing/maintenance for select rods. The scope of the job for control rod scram timing/maintenance was expanded when 4 rods failed their Technical Specification times at 5 percent.
