SUMMARY

The unit began the month of October In a refueling shutdown which started on September 15, 2003. Following the completion of refueling and reactor head replacement, the I reactor was made critical on October 14, 2003 at 0729. High winds on October 15, 2003 caused a branch to lay across phases of offsIte circuit 751. The circuit opened and caused the loss f.v of one reactor coolant pump. Emergency procedures directed the manual scram of the reactor at 1025 on October 15, 2003. The reactor was made critical again at 2325 later the same day.

The unit was place on-line at 0630 on October 16, 2003. Full power was reached on October 20, 2003 and remained there through the end of the month.
