Letter from M. P. Gallagher (Exelon Generation Company, LLC) to U. S. NRC, "Request for License Amendment Regarding Reactor Vessel Specimen Removal Schedule," dated December 20, 2002 (2)

Letter from M. P. Gallagher (AmerGen Energy Company, LLC) to U. S. NRC, "Additional Information Supporting the Request for License Amendment Regarding Reactor Vessel Specimen Removal Schedule," dated September 10, 2003 In Reference 1, Exelon Generation Company, LLC (EGC) and AmerGen Energy Company, LLC (AmerGen) requested changes to the Updated Final Safety Analysis Reports (UFSARs) for the Clinton Power Station (CPS), Unit 1, the Dresden Nuclear Power Station (DNPS), Units 2 and 3, the LaSalle County Station (LSCS), Units 1 and 2, the Limerick Generating Station (LGS),

Units 1 and 2, the Oyster Creek Generating Station (Oyster Creek), the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station (PBAPS), Units 2 and 3, and the Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station (QCNPS),

Units 1 and 2. Additionally, EGC proposed changes to the Technical Specifications (TS) for LGS, Units 1 and 2. The requested changes would remove the current facility reactor material specimen surveillance schedules from the UFSARs and specify that these facilities will participate in an integrated surveillance program (ISP) developed by the Boiling Water Reactor Vessel and Internals Project (BWRVIP). For LGS, the proposed changes would also remove the current facility reactor material specimen surveillance schedule from the TS.

In Reference 2, EGC and AmerGen submitted additional information regarding the proposed changes for Oyster Creek. In a teleconference between Mr. T. Loomis of EGC and the NRC, the NRC requested that AmerGen submit revised UFSAR pages for Oyster Creek that document the information provided in Reference 2. The attachment to this letter provides the requested pages. The UFSAR pages provided in the attachment affect UFSAR Sections 4.3.2.8 and 4.3.5. These pages supplement the UFSAR pages provided in Reference 1, which affect UFSAR Sections 5.3.1.3 and 5.3.4.
