Quality Assurance Program Description Consolidated Program for All Nuclear Facilities

Purpose

  • Discuss plans for a consolidated QA Program
  • Obtain any feedback or' lessons learned from other submittals !

Program Applicability

  • Have a Quality Assurance Program that will apply to multiple nuclear facilities
  • Operation and decommissioning of Surry, North Anna, and Millstone and any associated ISFSI
  • New acquisitions
  • New construction

New QAPD

  • Upgrade to common commitments where practicable
  • Include new design and construction activities

Program Scope

  • All phases of the life of a nuclear facility
  • Design
  • Construction
  • Operation
  • Decommissioning

Applicable Facilities

  • Nuclear Power Stations
  • Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installations

Applicable Activities

  • Those requiring QA measures not governed by App. B

  • SRP chapter 17.3 used as guidance since it addresses NQA-1 and withdrawal of certain Regulatory Guides not addressed in 17.1 and 17.2 acceptance criteria
