Nine Mile Point Unit 1 Docket No. 50-220 Facility Operating License No. DPR-63 Submittal of Revision 18 to the Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station, LLC, Unit 1 Final Safety Analysis Report (Updated), Including Unit 1 Technical Specifications Bases, Changes to the Quality Assurance Program Description, and the 10 C.F.R.
§50.59 Evaluation Summary Report Gentlemen:
Pursuant to the requirements of 10 C.F.R. §50.71(e), 10 C.F.R. §50.54(a)(3), and 10 C.F.R. §50.59(d)(2), Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station, LLC, hereby submits Revision 18 to the Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station Unit 1 Final Safety Analysis Report (Updated), including changes to the Nine Mile Point Quality Assurance Topical Report, and the 10 C.F.R. §50.59 Evaluation Summary Report.
One (1) signed original and ten (10) copies of the Unit 1 FSAR (Updated), Revision 18, are enclosed. Copies are also being sent directly to the Regional Administrator, Region I, and the NRC Senior Resident Inspector at Nine Mile Point. The Unit 1 FSAR (Updated) revision contains changes made since the submittal of Revision 17 in October 2001. The revision reflects all changes up to and including July 15, 2003. The certification required by 10 C.F.R. §50.71(e) is included.
The enclosed 10 C.F.R. §50.59 Evaluation Summary Report (Enclosure A) contains a brief description of changes, tests, and experiments, and includes a summary of the §50.59 Evaluation of each. None of the 10 C.F.R. §50.59 Evaluations involved obtaining a license amendment as defined in 10 C.F.R. §50.59(c)(1).
