N/A N/A N/A WBN Unit I operated until approximately 17:57 (EDT) on September 7, 2003 when it was manually shutdown due to leakage above the plant criteria from a reactor coolant pump (RCP) seal. WBN Unit I was scheduled to begin a refueling outage in September 2003. The shutdown on September 7th resulted in the refueling outage beginning ahead of schedule. The RCP seals are scheduled for repair during the outage.

Summary:
The shutdown of WBN Unit I on September 7, 2003, resulted in the Cycle 5 refueling outage beginning ahead of schedule. The refueling outage continued for the remainder of the month. The current target for returning the unit to service is mid-October. There were no challenges to the pressurizer power operated relief valves or pressurizer safety valves during the month.
