September 18, 2003 Mr. John L. Skolds, President Exelon Nuclear Exelon Generation Company, LLC Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station 4300 Winfield Road Warrenville, IL 60555
Dear Mr. Skolds:
We have scheduled an inspection of the Radiological Environmental Monitoring Program at your Quad Cities Station, Units 1 and 2, for the week of September 29, 2003. Because of inspection requirements for other plants in Region III and temporary personnel reassignments in the Plant Support Branch, we have been forced to cancel and move inspections. This change was communicated during a telephone conversation between Mr. K. Moser of your staff and Dr. J. House on September 18, 2003. This inspection will focus on the Radiological Environmental Monitoring Program (IP 71122.03) and some aspects of Access Control to Radiological Areas and the ALARA inspection procedures (IP 71121.01 and 71121.02). If you have any questions concerning this information, please contact Dr. J. House of my staff at (630) 829-9824.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRCs "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRCs document system (ADAMS).
