Dear Mr. Brewer:
Per your request, enclosed is a compact disk containing the Low Power Shutdown (LP/SD)
Standardized Plant Analysis Risk (SPAR) model for the Oconee 1, 2, & 3 and the SAPHIRE 6.76 suite of PRA codes. Also enclosed is a copy of the users manual for the Oconee 1, 2, & 3 LP/SD SPAR model. The SAPHIRE code suite is required to perform analyses with the LP/SD SPAR model. Both of the software packages are in the form of executable files that can be run directly from the compact disk. These items are for your organizations use only and are not to be distributed further without the consent of the NRC. Also please note that the information contained in the SPAR model is considered sensitive and should be treated accordingly.
These software packages are provided to facilitate the onsite QA review of the LP/SD model with your PRA staff and the benchmarking of this model against your LP/SD PRA for Oconee 1, 2, & 3, which will be scheduled later this year at your convenience. The LP/SD SPAR model is considered interim, and should be used by your staff analysts with appropriate discretion.
