Dear Sirs:
Subject:
Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station (PVNGS)
Units 1, 2 and 3 Docket Nos. STN 50-5281529/530 Notification of Completion of Procedures for Implementing ASME Code Case OMN-1 As a condition for implementing Valve Relief Request 12 (VRR-1 2) into the Second 10-Year Interval for the Pump and Valve Inservice Testing Program at Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station (PVNGS), the NRC has requested that Arizona Public Service (APS) notify them of the completion of procedures for implementing ASME Code Case OMN-1 at PVNGS.
I This letter serves to notify the NRC that the program documents necessary to implement ASME Code Case OMN-1 at PVNGS have been revised and are presently scheduled to be made effective in early August 2003. These program documents specify the type and frequency of surveillance testing required for motor operated valves (MOVs).
No commitments are being made to the NRC in this letter. Should you have any questions, please contact Thomas N. Weber at (623) 393-5764.
Sincerely, cc:
Regional Administrator, NRC Region IV J. N. Donohew N. L. Salgado
