VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY NORTH ANNA POWER STATION UNITS I AND 2 IMPLEMENTATION STATUS FOR THE COMPENSATORY MEASURES RELATED TO THE ACCESS AUTHORIZATION ORDER DATED JANUARY 7,2003 On January 7, 2003, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued an Order requiring compensatory measures (CMs) related to access authorization for all operating nuclear power reactor licensees (the Order).
Virginia Electric and Power Company (Dominion) submitted an answer to the Order on January 27, 2003 (Serial No.03-066). Dominion provided additional information in letters dated March 25, 2003 and May 20, 2003 (Serial Nos. 03-066A and 03-066C, respectively).
The purpose of this letter is to inform you that North Anna Power Station has implemented the CMs that were required by Section III.A of the Order to be implemented by July 7, 2003. These CMs were implemented on or before July 7, 2003.
In accordance with the Order, CM B.1.1 was implemented April 7, 2003, as described in our April 9, 2003 letter (Serial No. 03-066B). CMs C.1.6 and C.1.8 are scheduled to be implemented by January 7, 2004, as described in the Order. Our actions to implement these CMs are described in our answer to the Order and the subsequent additional information letters.
