CNS June 2003 Initial Exam Outline Comments Scenarios For Scenario 1 the following changes were recommended and incorporated:

• Critical Task 1 was modified to include the value of reactor pressure where manual scram should take place (before Rx pressure goes below 785 psig).

For Scenario 2

• Event 8 changed failure type to component verses major.

• Added Event 9 - Group 1 Isolation Failure (instrument). The failure was described in the narrative, but not in the event description (Form ES-D-1).

For Scenario 3

• Initially, emergency depressurization was listed as a major type of event, but it was determined to be an action required by the HPCI steam leak. Therefore, this was removed as an event.

• The narrative discussed a Group 6 isolation failure and fuel failure, but these failures were not listed in the event description (Form ES-D-1). Added these failures to the event description as Events 7 & 8.

Written Exam Outline

• Not all 25 of the SRO outline questions appeared to be SRO only questions and 55.43 requirement was not referenced. Discussed this with the licensee contact and he indicated he would reference 55.43 or make sure that it is an SRO only action at CNS and reference the requirement.

• RO & SRO Outline (Tier 1/group 2) had too many questions on secondary containment.

Modify outline and select K/As from 295002 and 295004.
