The NRC issued Amendment No. 145 to the Hope Creek Operating License on March 31, 2003 (Reference 1) and similar amendments for Salem Units 1 and 2 on April 16, 2003 (Reference 2). These amendments revise Technical Specification (TS) 4.0.3 for missed surveillances in accordance with the Consolidated Line Item Improvement Program, modify TS 4.0.1 to be consistent with Standard TS, and incorporate a TS Bases Control Program in Section 6. The referenced letters provide a 60 day window for implementation of the amendments.
PSEG requests a common implementation date of June 16, 2003 for both Hope Creek and Salem Amendments, based on the later approval at Salem.
Administrative procedures necessary to implement the missed surveillance TS are largely shared among the stations.
