SUMMARY

OF APRIL 9, 2003, ANNUAL ASSESSMENT MEETING WITH ENTERGY On April 9, 2003, at 1:00 p.m., an annual assessment meeting was conducted at the Joint News Center in Fulton, New York, between the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Entergy Nuclear Generation Company. The NRC presented and discussed its assessment of the safety performance of FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Station for the period between January 1 through December 31, 2002.

The NRC presented a summary of national plant performance and discussed the annual assessment results for FitzPatrick. An update on NRC actions to enhance nuclear plant security was also presented. At the end of the meeting between the NRC and Entergy, public attendees were offered the opportunity to ask questions of NRC officials. The attendance list is enclosed (Enclosure 1).
