SUMMARY

OF APRIL 2, 2003, ANNUAL ASSESSMENT MEETING WITH ROCHESTER GAS AND ELECTRIC CORPORATION On April 2, 2003, at 1:00 p.m., an annual assessment meeting was conducted at the Ontario Golf Club, between the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Rochester Gas and Electric Corporation (RG&E). The NRC presented and discussed its assessment of the safety performance of R. E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant for the period January 1, 2002, through December 31, 2002.

The NRC presented a summary of national plant performance and discussed the annual assessment results for R. E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant. At the end of the meeting between the NRC and RG&E, public attendees were offered the opportunity to ask questions of NRC officials. Questions raised by local media and concerned citizens were addressed by the NRC.

There were feedback forms submitted by the public immediately following the meeting.
