CONSENT MOTION FOR EXTENSION TO ACCOMMODATE MEDIATION The Board of Commissioners of Orange County, North Carolina ("Orange County"), hereby moves for a 30-day of the briefing schedule in this case, in order to accommodate a mediation. All parties agree to the extension, and the mediator assigned to the case concurs.

Under the Court's order of January 7, 2001, the petitioner's brief is now due on February 25, 2002. Orange County requests that this deadline be extended until March 27, 2002. The new schedule for all briefs and other filings would be as follows:

Petitioner's Brief Thursday, March 27 Respondent's Brief Friday, April 26 Intervenor for Respondent's Brief Monday, May 13 Petitioner's Reply Brief Monday, May 27 Deferred Appendix Monday, June 3 Final Briefs Monday, June 17
