MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT - CATEGORY ONE MEETING SHEARON HARRIS NUCLEAR POWER PLANT - DOCKET NO. 50-400

Dear Mr. Scarola:

This letter confirms the telephone conversation between Mr. M. Wallace of your staff and me on February 18, 2003, concerning a management meeting (Category One public meeting) which has been scheduled for March 10, 2003, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (EDT). The purpose of this meeting is to discuss your plans and schedules regarding changes to your fire protection program and is being conducted at your request. The location of the meeting will be the Region II Office, Sam Nunn Atlanta Federal Center, 61 Forsyth Street, S.W., Atlanta, Georgia, in Suite 24T20. The meeting will be an open meeting in accordance with the NRCs Policy Statement for Enhancing Public Participation in NRC Meetings dated May 28, 2002 (Federal Register Volume 67, Number 102, 36920-36924).
