SUBJECT:
DRAFT LIST OF FUTURE COMMITMENTS RELATED TO THE SAFETY EVALUATION REPORT FOR THE PEACH BOTTOM ATOMIC POWER STATION LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION On September 13, 2002, the NRC staff (hereafter referred to as the staff) issued a safety evaluation report (SER) with open and confirmatory items related to the license renewal application for the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Units 2 and 3 (PBAPS) (ADAMS Accession No. ML022590468). On January 31, 2003, the applicant transmitted, by fascimilie to the NRC, a draft list of future commitments, which the staff intended to include in the final SER in Appendix D, related to the license renewal application for PBAPS. The list is enclosed.
The staff reviewed the list and identified three additional commitments, which need to be added, related to implementing the outcome of the staffs review of BWRVIP-76: Boiling Water Reactor Core Shroud Inspection & Flaw Evaluation Guidelines, and fatigue aging management program activities for time-limited aging analysis in response to requests for additional information 4.3-1 and 4.3-6.
In letters from M.P. Gallagher to the NRC dated January 31 and February 5, 2003, the applicant provided a revision to the list, which included these additional items.
