Response to Issuance of Order for Compensatory Measures Related to Access Authorization Gentlemen:
Southern California Edison (SCE) has received the Order Modifying Licenses
("Order") transmitted by letter from Samuel J. Collins to Harold B. Ray dated January 7, 2003 applicable to the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Units 2 and 3 (SONGS 2 and 3). This letter provides the SCE response required by Section III of the Order.
The enclosure to this letter discusses each requirement set forth in Attachment 2 of the Order and provides a schedule for SONGS 2 and 3 to achieve compliance.
Note that the enclosure to this letter contains Safeguards Information as defined by 10 CFR 73.2. This transmittal letter may be decontrolled upon separation from its enclosures.
