Dear Mr. Myers:
By letter dated July 26, 1999 (Serial Number 2583), you applied for an amendment to the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, Unit No. 1, Facility Operating License No. NPF-3. The proposed change would have modified the facility technical specifications pertaining to the Safety Features Actuation System Instrumentation. Subsequently, by letter dated December 20, 2002 (Serial Number 2823), you withdrew the amendment request.
The Commission has filed the enclosed Notice of Withdrawal of Application for Amendment to Facility Operating License with the Office of the Federal Register for publication.

The proposed amendment would have revised the Technical Specifications pertaining to the Safety Features Actuation System Instrumentation trip setpoints.
The Commission had previously issued a Notice of Consideration of Issuance of Amendment published in the FEDERAL REGISTER on September 8, 1999 (64 FR 48862).
However, by letter dated December 20, 2002, the licensee withdrew the proposed change.
For further details with respect to this action, see the application for amendment dated July 26, 1999, and the licensees letter dated December 20, 2002, which withdrew the application for license amendment.
