Received notification from Site Security (J. Lueck) that a healthy turtle has been rescued from the intake and transported to the Mariculture Center [0412]. The turtle weighs approximately 12 pounds. The turtle is in a holding tank at the Mariculture Center LAW AI-571. The Natural Resources Unit Staff will identify the species and evaluate notification requirements to the National Marine Fisheries Service in the morning. NCR 56999 has been generated on the rescue.
NRC phone/status check completed satisfactorily [0438]
Received notification from Site Security (J. Yeghoian) that a healthy turtle has been rescued from the intake and transported to the Mariculture Center [0441].
The turtle weighs approximately 12 pounds. The turtle is in a holding tank at the Mariculture Center IAW AI-571. The Natural Resources Unit Staff will identify the species and evaluate notification requirements to the National Marine Fisheries Service in the morning. NCR 56999 has been updated to address this rescue.
