10 CFR 50.46 Reporting Requirements
Dear Sir/Madam:
In accordance with 10 CFR 50.46 (a)(3)(i) and (ii), the following is a report of the licensing basis Loss-of-Coolant Accident (LOCA) peak clad temperature (PCT) for Oyster Creek Generating Station (OCGS). Table 1 (attached) provides the licensing basis PCT values and the PCT error accumulations for Oyster Creek.
No ECCS model errors applicable to Oyster Creek have occurred since the last report. The baseline PCT for the new GEl 1 fuel type is being included in this report. The GEl 1 fuel type was introduced during the Fall 2002 outage.
Table 1 provides the baseline PCT, the PCT error accumulations, and the resultant estimated licensing basis PCT for both the GE9 and GEl 1 fuel types. The estimated licensing basis PCT remains at 21830F, based on the GE9 fuel type. The licensing basis PCT remains within the 10 CFR 50.46 acceptance limit of 22000F. The current MAPLHGR limits therefore remain bounding, and no additional action is required.
